According to the work schedule of the CAQA, the timeline for event applications in the 2026 Q3 End and Q4 Early is as follows:

After careful consideration, the WCA Board has decided to add Face Turning Octahedron (FTO) to the WCA’s list of official events and remove Clock. FTO will be available for inclusion in WCA competitions from January 2, 2027. Clock will no longer be available following the WCA World Championship 2027, which will be the last competition to hold the event. The WCA will continue to explore options for how other events are managed, particularly at championship competitions.
Xuanyi Geng (耿暄一) won the Zhanjiang Open 2026 with an average of 4.34 seconds. Yiheng Wang (王艺衡) finished second (4.44 seconds) and Hansen Yu (余翰森) finished third (4.60 seconds).

Yiheng Wang (王艺衡) won the Maoming Open 2026 with an average of 4.06 seconds. Xuanyi Geng (耿暄一) finished second (4.23 seconds) and Hansen Yu (余翰森) finished third (5.38 seconds).
