Dear Cubing community

To better ensure the fairness of competitions and minimize issues related to timers (e.g., malfunctions, start/stop errors), Cubing China will officially provide SpeedStacks G5 StackMat Pro Timers (5th Generation) for recording official results at WCA competitions in Mainland China starting July 2025. A total of 60 sets (including timers, mats, and display connection cables) will be made available.

For WCA competitions, no equipment rental fees will be charged. However, organizing teams will cover the costs associated with round-trip transportation and equipment depreciation. For daily practice, participants may continue to use their existing timers, as the starting/stopping experience remains largely consistent. Those seeking a competition-like experience may opt to practice with the fifth-generation timers.
