Candidates for China Championship 2019

The application period for China Championship 2019 has ended. Here are the list of the cities that applied:

1. Shanghai
2. Weihai, Shandong
3. Hefei, Anhui
4. Tianjin
5. Shenzhen, Guangdong

The selection team leader will be Baiqiang Dong. The selection process will consist of individual evaluations of the applications, interviews with the applicants, and finally a vote by the selection team. The goal is to come to an agreement about the winning applicant, so that we can proceed with confidence that the competition will be successful and a positive experience for all who attend.

New WRC leader

We are happy to announce that we have a new Committee Leader. Lucas Garron will replace Laura Ohrndorf as the Leader of the WCA Regulations Committee (WRC). Lucas was already working as a member of the WRC. Lucas was selected by the WCA Board and approved in a voting among the current Committee/Team Leaders and Senior Delegates, following Section 4 of our Motion 10.2017.0 about WCA Committees and Teams. We wish Lucas the best of luck in fulfilling his new duty! The new Leader will be promoted immediately.
