Yiheng Wang (王艺衡) won the Zhengzhou Open 2024 with an average of 4.05 seconds. Xuanyi Geng (耿暄一) finished second (4.79 seconds) and Yufang Du (杜昱方) finished third (5.22 seconds).

Zhen Chen (陈震) won the Shenzhen Open 2024 with an average of 5.78 seconds. Xuanyi Geng (耿暄一) finished second (5.90 seconds) and Kangze Wang (王康泽) finished third (6.21 seconds).

Dear WCA Community,
The WCA Regulations Committee would like to inform you about a new version of the WCA Regulations and Guidelines. This version will be in effect for competitions beginning on, or after, January 1st, 2025.
The Competition Events Working Group (CEWG) has been formed to explore the viability of implementing new events at WCA Competitions. We are preparing to assemble a framework for events based on WCA Staff and community feedback.
Earlier this year, we solicited input directly from WCA Staff on the topic. We are now expanding the call for input to the wider WCA Community (WCA Staff may provide answers to this call for input too). The public call for input will be open until December 15th, 2024. This feedback will be carefully reviewed by the CEWG in advance of any actual proposal.
Please note that:
- The CEWG is not working with any prior assumptions of any specific events being added or removed.
- Before putting together a full framework, we will continue to discuss the topic with key stakeholders and take into account their feedback on ideas and important considerations.
